1. Modern and Microsoft UX design of Self-service portal and Service catalog
We’re excited to introduce the new self-service portal - redesigned with users in mind. The interface is now more intuitive and user-friendly, with the left-hand navigation bar for easier access.
The page layout features four clear sections and a new tree-structured view of information, helping users find what they need faster and more efficiently.
2. Lansweeper Connector
With the new integration between Lansweeper and ALVAO, devices from Lansweeper are automatically added to ALVAO Asset Management. You don’t have to enter anything manually - your asset inventory stays complete.
This makes it easy to keep track of what you have, where it is, and how it's being used.
3. Import devices from Zabbix
Thanks to new integration between ALVAO and the Zabbix monitoring tool, any new asset uploaded to Zabbix is automatically added to ALVAO Asset management. With this integration, you always have an up-to-date overview of your assets.
4. Keep an eye on Zabbix events
Zabbix can automatically trigger incident tickets in the ALVAO Service Desk based on any monitored event - such as low disk space, unavailable services, or configuration issues. These tickets are linked to the relevant asset in ALVAO, giving your team immediate context for faster resolution. Just set the event rules in Zabbix, and ALVAO takes care of the rest.
5. Financial values display format
You can now display financial values in numeric custom fields with thousands separators and a selected number of decimal places. This makes it easier to read and interpret financial data, enhancing clarity and accuracy when working with large numbers.
Whether you're managing budgets, costs, or other financial figures, this update ensures your data is presented in a more user-friendly and professional format.
6. Search my Assets Across All Channels
In the service portal, user can search assets directly from the homepage search box just by entering keywords like the asset name, model, manufacturer, or object type. For example, if having trouble with a PC, the search results will show related tickets as well as helpful articles from the knowledge base - making it easier to find relevant information and take action. Results appear directly on the main page, without opening a new window or pop-up. Once asset is found, by one click a ticket is quickly created.
We bring more intuitive navigation experience and a user-friendly interface.
7. Stick around with Microsoft Teams with ALVAO
Smarter way of working with the upgraded ALVAO Bot for Microsoft Teams. Whether you need to set up a VPN, check the status of an IT ticket, or find an asset...
- Just type your question into the chat.
- The Bot will guide you through step-by-step instructions from the Knowledge Base,..
- search both Service Desk and Asset Management,..
- and respond in your preferred language.
You'll get direct access to the relevant details in the web app - including SharePoint links when needed. All without having to open ALVAO manually.
8. Import and Export of Object Templates
You can now export and import object templates in Asset Management, including object types, properties with localizations, and icons. Multi-selection is supported, including full template subtrees.
When exporting, you can choose to export all templates or only selected ones, based on your needs. During import, you can either create a new template within the asset structure or merge the imported content into an existing one.
This feature supports both moving templates between environments (e.g. test to production) and sharing predefined template packages.
9. Composed URL object commands
You can now define and run custom commands directly from an asset using composed URL links with dynamic parameters - such as IP address, hostname, or other object fields. These commands can be assigned to specific asset types and appear as actionable buttons within the object view.
This allows users to open an RDP session or ping a device with a single click - no need to switch tools or manually copy data.
More to Asset Management:
- From the asset detail serial number, you can now access the device’s page directly in the vendor’s system such as HP, Dell and Lenovo. Enjoy the quicker and easier access to more detailed information about the device.
- Track warranty of your DELL Devices in ALVAO Asset Management just using Serial number. Plan replacements or renewals ahead. Save time and reduce the risk of missed deadlines.
10. Landing page settings for users
Users can set their home screen to either the Self-Service Portal or the Tickets page.
This setting allows them to personalize their experience based on what they access most frequently.
11. From Preview to Use: Find knowledge in your tickets with AI
With the 25.1. release, we introduced new feature: AI-powered analysis of your ALVAO tickets to detect recurring issues and suggest knowledge base articles.
Now out of preview and available, this tool helps your support team capture and share valuable insights faster. Whenever common topics emerge, the AI Assistant proactively notifies your team with content suggestions.
Turn repeated questions into helpful documentation that boosts the quality and availability of information for everyone.
