1. Easier asset stocking and management
Stocking up assets in ALVAO is now much more intuitive. With a redesigned workflow and smarter tools, creating and managing assets is faster, more accurate, and less manual.
Preview: Stock assets directly from documents
Upload an invoice and delivery note, and ALVAO automatically scans and fills in the asset information. This eliminates copy-pasting from physical documents and reduces errors.

Smarter workflows for new assets
The process of creating new objects has been streamlined. You can now:
- Bulk add properties to object templates.
- See creation dates directly in object lists.
- Easily duplicate assets or templates and place them in the right tree structure.
Bulk operations with ease
It’s now possible to create multiple copies of an asset template at once and update object templates in bulk, making asset stocking faster and more efficient than ever.

What it means for you
Managing assets is now quicker and smoother. With improved stocking, bulk updates, and a clearer interface, your team will be more productive, and asset management will be more accurate.
2. Faster work in Teams and Outlook*
*Please note that the upgrade in Teams depends on automatic updates via the Microsoft Store, so it may appear a bit later for some users.
Translate messages in one click
When working with colleagues in different languages, you no longer need to copy text into external tools. With the new Translate button, you can read and reply in your preferred language directly in Teams. Collaboration in multilingual environments is now more efficient, enhancing team productivity.
Search in ticket communication directly in Teams
You can now search directly in the communication history of a ticket in Teams. This makes it easy to find details in long conversations without scrolling through every message.
See Important and Solution markers
Ticket communication in Teams now shows when a message is marked as Important (flag) or as a Solution (green check). This makes orientation easier and helps you to immediately see what has been resolved.

What it means for you
With these updates, ALVAO for Teams and Outlook becomes an even stronger extension of your daily workflow. You can now collaborate across languages, find tickets without switching apps, and spot key information at a glance.
3. User feedback now in the Knowledge Base
Articles in the Knowledge Base can now be rated by users. Administrators see a feedback score in %, along with counts of positive and negative ratings and the number of views for each article.
New overview pages also show:
- Best-rated articles.
- Worst-rated articles.
- Most viewed articles.
This gives administrators clear insight into which articles are most helpful, which may need updating, and which could be removed.

What it means for you
Knowledge base management becomes more data driven. With real feedback from readers, you can improve articles that matter most, ensure content stays relevant, and show users their input makes a difference.
4. Clearer view of object relations in CMDB
The Asset Management module now supports custom properties on relationships between configuration items. Each relationship can include additional fields such as risk level, status, or other custom attributes. This allows more precise and structured data modeling within the CMDB, improves transparency of interdependencies, and strengthens overall configuration management practices.
What it means for you
Administrators and security teams gain a clear view of how assets, services, and related risks are connected. This allows them to make better decisions, especially in situations where it is necessary to respond to an incident immediately.

5. Service catalog built for cybersecurity
A new sample service catalog is now available for customers starting with ALVAO. It is designed with a strong focus on cybersecurity and user experience that follows current security standards and best practices, e.g., Cyber Essentials, DORA, and ISO 27001.
The sample catalog also reflects the latest UX research and process improvements, so new customers begin with a catalog that already meets modern requirements.
For existing customers: the catalog will be available for download in our product documentation.

What it means for you
New customers can begin with a service catalog that already reflects security and usability best practice, making onboarding smoother and safer. Existing customers can download and adopt the sample catalog to benefit from the same improvements.
6. Preview: New discovery source for Software Asset Management
Software Asset Management now has a new discovery source: Intune. In addition to hardware details, the ALVAO Intune connector can now synchronize information about installed applications.
This gives you a single place to view both hardware and software, making it easier to see which applications are in use, track licenses, and ensure compliance.
This feature is available only in Preview, request access and try it out!

7. Simpler setup for parent–child tickets
Automatic ticket creation is now much easier to set up. Administrators can decide which parts of the parent ticket description should also appear in the child tickets.
Previously, information was stored only in the parent ticket, so solvers had to return to it for details. Now you can configure which fields and messages are passed down, making the whole process clearer and more efficient.
This simplifies onboarding scenarios, release management, and other processes where multiple linked tickets are created. It also saves time and keeps everyone more informed.

What it means for you
Managing automatic tickets is now easier and less time-consuming. With flexible variables, administrators can set up clearer workflows, share the right context in every ticket, and simplify the process for both IT teams and end users.
8. Seamless sign-in for external users
External users can now log into the ALVAO WebApp with their own organization’s credentials through Entra ID Multidomain Authentication. This makes it much easier for large companies and holding groups to provide access to partners or external collaborators. Once invited via Tenant, external users can seamlessly access ALVAO without additional setup.
What it means for you
Providing access to external users is now simpler and more secure. Large organizations and holding groups can invite partners or subsidiaries without creating extra accounts, reducing admin effort and ensuring smoother collaboration.
